Daisy Mae Cushionberry

1938 - 2021

Daisy Mae Cushionberry entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 29, 2021. She was born on May 25, 1938 to the union of the late Nelson Marks, Sr. and Ruby Berry-Marks. Beloved mother of Joann (Kenneth) Hogan, Marie (Jake) Moss, Loretta (Stephanie) Bell and the late Robert, Joseph and Geraldine Cushionberry. Also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Daisy was also preceded in death by five siblings; husband, Edward Cushionberry and life long companion, Valriece "Pops" Smallwood. A Celebration of Life Service honoring Daisy Mae Cushionberry will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA, 70116 on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 10 am. Interment Lake Lawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA, 70124. Visitation 9 am in the chapel. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, seating in the chapel is limited.
