Darrell Blappert Obituary

Darrell E. Blappert, Sr. passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016, at the age of 59. Beloved husband of 34 years to Shirley W. Blappert. Father of Darrell E. Blappert, Jr. and Michelle C. Blappert (Cody). Grandfather of Peyton Ryan Blappert and Cody Joseph Campo, Jr. Brother of Christopher Blappert, Jr. (Carol), Keith Blappert (Lorrie), Erroll Blappert (Robbie) and Lynn Adams (Mike). Brother-in-law of Helen Ponsetti (Gerard), Pearl Palmeri (Terry), Wendy Pietre (Robbie) and Velma Silva. Son of the late Christopher Blappert, Sr. and Marilyn Merritt Blappert. Mr. Blappert was a commercial fisherman who loved fishing. When Darrell was younger he was an amateur boxer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris Road, Chalmette, LA on Saturday, December 10, 2016, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Mass at 1:00 PM.
