Darryl David Lanassa

Darryl David Lanassa went home to be with his Mom and Dad on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at the age of 70. Beloved son of the late Adlis Lirette Lanassa and Warren L. Lanassa. Sister and brother by choice, Lynn Champagne, Brett (Mary) and Rami Lynn Champagne. Grandson of the late Pascal and Ada Lanassa and Octave and Melodia Lirette. Nephew of Pearl L. and Nathan Champagne and Hilton Lirette. Also survived by his Nanny, Debra Hart. Special people in his life, Casey and Keri Hart. Godfather of Aimee Lynn Champagne, Sarah Champagne, and Taylen Hart; Special furry godchildren, Cayenne, Brie, Turbo and Coco. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and special friends, Richard and Jo Tullier, Gwen Guillotte, Betty Morrison, Joanne Victoria, Dee Martin, and Jinnie Nicotera. He was a devoted Saints fan, loved country music and loved to eat out. He was a lifelong resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also residents of LaToya Collins Magnolia Group Home are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, La., on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 11:30am until 1pm. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Beverly Bridges, LaToya Collins and St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care.
