David Morris Gauthier

1933 - 2024

David Morris Gauthier passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 90. David is survived by his second wife Brenda Carcisse Gauthier; seven children, Willie (Maria) Lee Gauthier, Katherine (Michael) Batiste, Carolyn (Bernard) Toppings, Ronald Gauthier, Doris Gauthier, LA, Bryan (Monique) Gauthier, and Cheryl (Aristede) Hayes. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, family, friends, and stepsons: Travis and Michael Carcisse. Preceded in death by his parents Paul Etienne Gauthier, Jr. and Henrietta Parker Gauthier; siblings: Pauline, Paul Edgar, Marguerite, Stella, Leonard, Ruby Inez, Alvin, Dorothy (twin); his first wife (Henrietta Lee Gauthier) and a son (Michael Nathaniel Gauthier). Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Services on Monday, April 15, 2024, for 10:00 a.m. at Union Bethel AME Church, 2321 Thalia St., New Orleans LA 70113. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Rev. Keith J. Sanders officiating.
