Deval Ceaser Sr.

1981 - 2024

Deval Ceaser, Sr., departed this earthly place and entered eternal rest on June 27, 2024, in Independence, LA tragically in a trucking accident. He was born on July 8,1981, in New Orleans, LA to Sheila Caesar and Donald Caesar, Sr. of LaPlace, LA. He attended East St. John High School in Reserve, LA and was employed by AV Transport, LLC. He was a former member of the Louisiana Storm and Houma Conquers Football team. He was the proud father of Diavian Ceaser, Deval Ceaser, Jr., and Deval Ceaser III; and stepfather of Efenity, Derricka, and Derrick. He was the loving grandfather of Darvi Ceaser, Qru Jarrow, and Mekhi Ceaser. He also leaves behind to cherish his memories: his dear mother, Sheila Caesar; father, Donald Caesar, Sr. (Cynthia Born Edwards); siblings, Aaron Lefort, Donald Ceaser Jr., Neyuka Ceaser, Delilah Ceaser, Francis Nicholson, Tenspeed Caesar, Sr.; stepsiblings, Daryl, Jade, and Dustin, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Deval is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Shelvin Caesar, Sr. and Maire Brown Caesar; maternal grandparents, Alonzo Shelling and Mercedes Shelling; his wife, Anitra McDonald; uncles, James Ceasar, Sr. Samuel Ceasar, Shelvin Caesar Jr., Charles Shelling Sr., Alonzo Shelling, Jr., and Boyd Shelling; aunts, Beverly Polk, Diane Shelling, Catherine Smith; and cousins, Yashita Smith and Rudolph Shelling. Family and friends are invited to the Homegoing Celebration on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:00 am at Destiny Christian Center, 612 Main St. LaPlace, LA. Viewing will be from 9:00 am until service time. Pastor Steve O. Allen officiating. Interment will be at St. John Memorial, LaPlace, Louisiana.
