LeBLANC Dexter Joseph Le Blanc Sr. (Decky) August 4, 1946 - January 7, 2013 Dexter Le Blanc passed away in peace while at his home in Lacombe on January 7, 2013. Dexter decided to go into the ministry in 1976 so he moved his family to Keene, Texas where he began ministerial school. After 4 years of college, work and raising 6 kids he graduated as an honor roll student with a bachelor's degree in theology in 1982. Dexter went on to preach for the Lord in various locations and had a special love for evangelism. Dexter was blessed to get a pastoral calling in 1996 to preach back home in south Louisiana where he was born and raised. He has been a pastor of 3 Seventh Day Adventist churches in this area (Slidell, Mandeville and Hammond) for the past 16 years. Dexter was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and those souls whom he helped win for the Lord. Dexter was preceded in death by his parents Leopold Leblanc, Julia Beeland and Pope Beeland as well as his sister Collette. Dexter was survived by his wife of 40 years, Carmen Le Blanc: his sons and their wives Anthony & Suzanne, Dexter & Heidrun, Vincent & Marcella, Troy, Tom Paul and Renee; his daughter and her husband Shandell & Steve; his grandchildren Keith, Ashley, Hunter, Payten, Michael, Kaylie, Stance, Halee, Chris, Timothy, Tessa, Julia, Tyler, Kristen, Olivia, Braden, Samuel, Mason, Shelby, Sidney and Savannah; His brothers Keith, Jay, Britton and his sisters Paulette, Colleen, Belinda and Hope. A memorial service will be held at Slidell Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2448 W. Gause Blvd in Slidell, Louisiana on Friday Jan. 11 2013. Visitation is from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made in Dexter's honor to the Slidell SDA Church PO Box 753 Slidell, LA 70459

Sorry to hear of Decky's passing althoght we loss touch over the past 40 years or so I will always remember the great times we had together as young teenagers, fishing, singing and dance parties in Desterehan La. On to eternal rest. God bless his family.

Sorry to hear of Dexter's passing. Just found out late last night. I have so many fond memories of our days on Destrehan Dr, as well as family outings.
Think of the good times you shared with Decky and they will help you thru your days of sorrow ahead.

Dexter and Carman are very special people who go "way back" with the Stumpf family. George and Henrietta were so proud of Dexter when he went off to Keene, and loved having him as their pastor in the Gulfport church. Dexter has worked hard on behalf of the church, and will be missed by many. To Carman and the children: may God's love enfold you and see you through these sad days. Much love to all of you.

Carmen, Brian and I are so sorry to hear of Dexter's passing. He was a good Godly man and I know he will be missed by many, many people (we are 2 of those people that will miss him!). He baptized me and he married us - he will always hold a special place in our hearts. May God give you peace during this difficult time - you and your family are in our prayers.
