Donald Louis "Don" Lindemann

1933 - 2023

Donald "Don" Louis Lindemann, died peacefully on October 29, 2023 at the age of 90. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell for the past 30 years. Born on February 14, 1933 to Louis Lucien Lindemann and Amelia LeJeune Lindemann. Don was a Jesuit High graduate Class of '51, served in the Army's Guided Missile Division and later received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (Lafayette) and a Master's Degree from Tulane University in Mechanical Engineering. He served adoration hour at Our Lady of Lourdes Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Don is preceded in death by his beloved wife Leonora Molinario Lindemann of 54 years; his daughters, Cynthia L. Palumbo (Fred) and Yvette Lindemann and his grandson, David Lindemann. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Sweeney (Tim); his sons, Gary (Sarah), Wayne (Denise) and Kirk (Kim); 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; his sister, Barbara Fontenot and his companion, Carol Bordelon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will take place immediately following at Cypress Grove Cemetery.
