Donald O'Neill Obituary
Donald was a Detective for the NYPD. He was with the NYPD for 23 years before retiring in 1996.
Donald was born June 22, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY to Michael and Florence O'Neill. From 1960 to 1963 in served in the United States Army.
Locally, he was a member of the American Legion Post and the Rockland County Shields.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy of Sunset Beach, NC; children, Tracey (Douglas) Frank of Howell, NJ, Tara Taylor of Woodstock, GA, Tricia (Gregory) McGee of Pearl River, Michael (Nancy) O'Neill of Pearl River, Mariellen (Craig) Zaleck of Chatham, NJ and Peggy O'Neill and Rob Ferraioli of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Saturday, February 17th at St. Margaret R. C. Church, Pearl River. Burial to follow at Cemetery of the Ascension, Airmont, NY. Visiting is Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Wyman- Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
Friends may send memorial donations to United Hospice of Rockland.

Uncle Donny and Aunt Peggy were a big part of growing up when I was a kid, including jumping down stairs with Michael, and breaking my foot in Brooklyn(!), and of course huge holiday parties. God Bless Uncle Donny and the whole family, RIP. Timothy and Kathryn Duffy

Sorry to hear of Don's passing.He was a great friend whom we always enjoyed visiting.
Always a very generous person.
I will miss his stories and going to the Legion with him for lunch.
