Doris Babin Flanagan

FLANAGAN Doris Babin Flanagan went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 4:00 a.m. Beloved wife of the late Frank Flanagan Sr. Loving mother of Jane F. James (husband Albert), Helen F. Templin (husband Joseph), Frank Flanagan Jr. (wife Geanie), Doris F. Conner and Linda Flanagan. Sister of Marie Adams and the late Thadeus Babin, Mae Farmer and Ethel Dietrich. Daughter of the late Clavia Boude-loche and John W. Babin. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her beloved friend Felix Copping. Aged 93 years. A native of Houma, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 14 years. Mrs. Flanagan was a loving widowed mother, who kept the family together, raised 3 sets of twins and was retired from Sears-Roebuck after over 25 years of service, a member of VFW Post # 6640, Nu Kappa Psi Dance Club, Early Birds Homemakers Club and a volunteer with the Salvation Army. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA on Monday afternoon April 27, 2009 at 1:15 p.m. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery.
