Dorothea Francis "Dottie" LeBlanc

Dorothea "Dottie" Francis Scardino LeBlanc left this world peacefully Friday October 28, 2016 at the age of 79. She was a loving mother of four, Gerard LeBlanc (Randi), Robert LeBlanc (Stephanie), Thomas LeBlanc (Edwin) and Angela Huff (Dwight). Also survived by her ten grandchildren Christina, Nicole, Cara, Carie, Justin, Tony, Clayton, Christopher, Dottie, Clint, and eight great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Angelo Joseph Scardino and Melvina Francis Scardino. Dorothea grew up in a faith filled catholic household that shaped her into a loving, caring, single mother who raised strong and independent children. Her door was always open to feed and nurture any family or friends of family that walked in. Family values was a key part to who she was. She loved to watch football, especially her favorite teams, the Saints and the Chiefs. Always a hard working woman, she instilled that virtue in her children. She always found a way to help out by cooking, cleaning or just making someone feel better, even when she felt poorly. We will always love and remember her and carry her memory in our hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation services on Friday November 4, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
