I just found out about Doug's passing and even though I haven't seen him in a while, I'll miss him. He would make me laugh so hard my stomach
would hurt. He was a good guy and good
traveling partner. My prayers and thoughts to you both.

I remember the last time I saw Doug,-he was at a Furey wedding and he and his sister/Roberta were both in bright red and having a great time. I regret not knowing my cousin/Doug. My heart aches for his family and you all will be in my thoughts and prayers. Love you all,-Mary Cornish

My heart aches whenever I hear of another "old friends" passing. I had not seen Doug in many decades, but the memories of him become vivid when I think back of how fun, energetic and full of life he was. To Doug's family, may your faith help you through these difficult times. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have the gift of Doug's friendship and the memory of his Mother singing at my wedding. Throughout our lives, friends come and go. Some leave a permanent etching upon our hearts, and you, my very special friend, will always remain a treasure in mine. There's no doubt you and Gary have reunited and I can just see the two of you carrying on....laughing and sharing stories. And one day, when we all meet up again, we'll have more grand adventures to look forward to. To be continued..........

So sad to see that Doug has passed! Doug never failed to make us smile, laugh, and enjoy his radiant personality and wisdom...I hope the Burns family's sadness in this loss is tempered by the knowledge that Heaven is now far brighter with Doug's arrival!
