On your anniversary of returning to the Father´s Kingdom, you are in my prayers......

To all the Mahers, I was so very sorry to learn of Timmy´s illness and passing. And I say "Timmy" because that was his childhood name to the Porter family kids. Our dad, Albert Porter, was a good friend of Timmy´s dad, Dr. Fred Maher, whom we all called Dr. Freddy. Dr. Freddy was best man at my parents´ wedding in 1945.

It has been a long time since I saw Timmy and I am so sorry and disappointed that we missed the obituary notice as the Porter family would have certainly paid our respects in person. Our very sincerest sympathies to the entire Maher family.

Brian and Barbara and family , we love you all and lifted up Tim's soul at the Fatima and Lourdes' shrines this past week. Divine Providence that we were praying at these Holy places during his services. We prayed for all of the family during this time of grief. Remember that God is close to the broken-hearted. To the Maher family, I offer my deepest condolences. I knew Tim was in the hospital and was not aware of his passing. I would have been at his funeral services had I known. He is with his mom and dad now and no longer in pain.

Brian, I was so sorry to hear of Tim´s passing. I was equally sorry to hear of what he and the family had to endure in his final year. He deserved much better. His service was truly a tribute to a life well lived. He is now enjoying the rewards of being such a good and caring person. Take care. Todd Wolff

To the family of Dr Timothy Maher, I didn´t know him, but if he was anything like his father, Dr Fred Maher, he was the best. I´m so sorry for your loss. To the children of Dr Fred Maher, I loved him and Dr Timothy resembles his dad so much. Dr Fred Maher operated on my 5 week old baby in 1967 for a double hernia. I was only 18 at the time and very scared for my baby but later found out that my baby boy was in great hands. Two years later Dr Fred Maher removed my spleen when no other doctors they called in at Baptist Hospital could find what was causing my pain. I absolutely loved Dr Fred Maher. He was a great surgeon and a great person. I will always remember how caring he was. I was very upset when I learned of his death. He was the best, such a skilled doctor and a wonderful person, so dedicated to his patients . He was taken too soon. Condolences to the Maher family.

If how you treat others is the measure of a man, he wins the award as the best. With that old New Orleans style, he made everyone he came in contact with feel like family. The world would be better if there were more like him. I enjoyed every interaction and conversation. What a great person. May God bless him and my condolences to his family.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace.

I worked for "Little Timmy Maher" as I affectionately called him for the 30 years he worked at Woman´s Hospital. He´d walk into my office with a smile and the greeting of "Ms. Claude". He was the best boss ever.....kind, fair, funny and generous. I loved hearing his stories from his school days at Catholic School. I know he gave them a run for their money but God has a sense of humor and I´m sure he was welcomed with open arms.
My deepest sympathy and prayers of comfort to Lois, Chris, Mark and Kelly.

I worked with Dr. Maher at Womans. He was such a kind and caring physician. Our family loved to ride the trace and he would always tell me to stop by his house when we were in the area. Saying so many prayers for your family! I am so so thankful to have worked with him for so many years.

I´ve been an OR nurse at Womans Hospital since 2006. Dr.Maher was great to work with and he had a great sense of humor. He was known by his team of CRNAs as being a fair and just leader. I´m sorry to hear of his passing, my prayers and condolences go out to his friends & family.

I worked with Dr. Maher for many years at Woman´s Hospital. He was the nicest, most respectful physician I have ever known. He was a gentle soul that always put the patient first. He was very supportive of nursing and treated everyone with respect. The loss of a good man and endearing physician. Rest in peace sir. You will be missed.

This saddens me that an outstanding Anesthesia provider , Dr Tim Maher( MD anesthesiologist ) has recently passed .
He was great to work with professionally and socially .I worked with him when he was an Anesthesia resident at Charity Hospital , NO, and as a MDA in Kenner and Woman´s Hospital for 10 years.
I was always pleased when I found out he was working on my shift ..
Loved his support in any anesthesia situation ...Tim ,you will be missed ...
RIP!!.....

Tim was a close classmate of mine in the 1981 LSU Med School class. Tim was probably one of the most soft-spoken, nicest guys I had the privilege to know in our 4 years there. Always a smile and great laugh as we struggled with the sometimes very arduous hurdles of Med School...he always was calm and cool as a cucumber as the rest of our crowd pulled our hair out. I haven´t seen him since the 1981 graduation, but I get great feelings of joy reading about his post-graduation accomplishments and family life...we were part of a good intramural LSUMC basketball team before the clinical years spread us all apart...God Bless You Tim for your priceless friendship...deepest sympathies to his wife and family..

I treasure all my times with Timmy, but working together at the Bearpit at Old Faithful for the summer of 1975 stands out.
