Eddie Lewis Bell departed this life peacefully at his home in Algiers, LA. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He was 71 years old and a native of Magnolia, Mississippi and a longtime resident of Algiers. Devoted and loving husband of Evelyn Ruffin Bell. Son of the late Herbert and Christine Williams Bell. Beloved father of Paul McClaim Sr. (Yolanda), Shawn Watts, and Terrence Bell (Melantha). Adopted father of Duane Trotter (Tiffiney) and the late Brad Sullivan. Brother of Gwendolyn Bell Badon (late James), Joel Bell (Robin), Robert Bell (Carolyn) and Donald Bell. Cherished grandfather of Andrika (Cody), Paul Jr., Oueshawn, Shawn, Amiyah, Malia and Makayla. Great-grandfather of Codie and Jayden. Mr. Bell is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Macedonia Church of God in Christ, located at 3015 Louisa St., New Orleans LA 70126. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. service. Pastor Myron Bunch will officiate and interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 3540 US-90, Avondale, LA.
