Edith "Kitty' Hadley died on Saturday, September 11, 2004. She was 85 years old. Wife of the late Hayward Hadley, Sr. Mother of Hayward Hadley, Jr. (Stella) of Pontiac, MI, Delores Smith, Elenora Squire (Clarence), Shirley Hadley of Pontiac, MI, the late Herbert Hadley and Barbara Allen. Sister of Gussie Lewis of Plaquemine, LA. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by 1 grandson and 1 great grandchild. A native of Bayou Goula, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA for the past 66 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, September 20, 2004 at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 3320 Louisa St. from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Rev. George Washington officiating. Interment Resthaven Memorial Park. NO WAKE.
