Edna Mae Bailey Doyle

Edna Mae Bailey Doyle peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 15, 2016, at the age of 91. She was a native of Houma, LA and a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Doyle. Loving mother of Sharon Roberts. Stepmother of Dorothy Young of Boston, MA. Daughter of the late Cecille Atkins and James Bailey, Sr. Sister of the late Olivia Bailey Shade, Gustavia Bailey Washington, James Bailey, Jr. and Houston "Sylvester Bailey" Broglin, Sr. Devoted aunt of Olivia Sandra Aych and Sandra Bailey Baggettt whom she loved as daughters. Sister-in-law of Dorothy Coler. Godmother of Clarence Page, who she also loved as a son; also survived by 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 goddaughters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the caregivers and staff of Marrero Healthcare Center and Heart of Hospice. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Progressive Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Marrero Healthcare Center, Heart of Hospice, and Wynhoven Healthcare Center; members of People of Ages Senior Group, and Daughters of Marrero Chapter No. 41 Order of Eastern Star are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Progressive Church, 437 Cohen St., Marrero, LA, on Friday, February 26, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., Pastor Sterling Mealancon officiating.
