Edward Cousins Obituary

Edward John Cousins passed away on January 18, 2003. Born on April 6, 1921 in New Orleans to Michael and Genevieve Cousins, Ed enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1940. While in the Coast Guard, Ed married his beloved, Mary Catherine McNeil in 1948. Ed became a Master Chief in the Coast Guard and was responsible for inventing 7 life saving technical devices. Ed worked at Tulane University for 14 years and moved to Texas in 1976 to begin his career as an industrial technology trainer. Ed attended Jesuit High School and received his Electrical Engineering degree from Delgado College in New Orleans. Ed and his wife, Mary Catherine, have five children and eleven grandchildren. The funeral will be on Tuesday at noon at St Teresa's Catholic Church in Sugar Land. Masses preferred. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Ed Cousins to the Alzheimer's Association 919 North Michigan Avenue Suite 1100 Chicago, Illinois 60611-1676.
