Edward Foss Obituary

Edward ""Ed"" J. Foss died peacefully on July 15, 2016 shortly after his 80th birthday surrounded by loving family. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Diane Junca Lee Foss and his four children David C. Foss and his wife Cindy, Diana Foss Hoerner and her husband Bryan, Jennifer Foss Morehead, Robert B. Foss and his wife Tiffany and Diane's three children James H. Lee, Jr. and his wife Vicki, Penny Lee Murphy and her husband Michael, and David M. Lee, as well as his sister-in-law Mary Louise Broussard Foss, wife of his brother Gene and niece Jeannine Dwyer, her husband Tim and children Lauren, Shane, and Timothy. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Marty Foss, Andrea Foss, Calyn Hoerner, Ethan Hoerner, Sidney Morehead, Georgia Foss, Eliza Foss, and Emmett Foss; 11 step-grandchildren Jeremy Lee and Britny, Kyle Boudreaux and his wife Brittany, Christopher Lee, Alex Boudreau, Michael Boudreau, Ryan Murphy and his wife Grace, Sean Murphy, Jay Lee, Reese Lee, Michelle Lee, and Madeleine Lee; and two great grandchildren: Sawyer Lee and Tallulah Murphy. He is preceded in death by his loving first wife of 41 years, Sandra M. McCune, his oldest son Martin M. Foss and his brother, John Eugene Foss. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Ed was an alumnus of Warren Easton High School and Tulane University and a long time employee of Boh Brothers Construction Company where he was an integral part of countless road and bridge construction projects throughout New Orleans and the Gulf South during his career. He was also an avid lifelong supporter of Tulane Athletics. He will be missed by his many family members and friends who are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 12 Noon with visitation beginning at 10 AM.
