Went to St Philip's 6pm Mass today and was so sorry to hear of your loss. I have such fond memories of working with you to help make this world a better place....and your husband did that as well, his whole life. Jackie and family, I am deeply saddened about the lost of Mr. Ed. I will forever cherish his memory and all of the valuable little nuggets and words of encouragements he gave me. Heaven has inherited another Angel to watch over us. My heart aches because he is truly gone to soon. I pray for strength and peace in the midst of this storm. I love you all dearly.

Ed and I had lunch (I had lunch, Ed had a cup of coffee) for years during his days at Mercy Hospital. I always appreciated his views, whether I agreed with him, or not. Jackie, we are out of town this week and the next, or I would be with you. I am sorry for your loss, and will miss the thought of not having this funny, intelligent man, available to offer wise counsel to his friends.

I grew up in St. Philip Neri Parish and attended school there from 1972 - 1976, when I graduated the 8th grade. I remember you and your husband being very active in the parish, and in fact, I was at Ochsner just a few weeks ago in the waiting room with you, but they called me in before I could tell you hello. I am so sorry, Mrs. Madden for your loss. You will be with him again though.
