Edward Mattio Obituary

MATTIO Edward James Mattio passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary Mattio. Father of Arleen Engeron (Charlie) and Phil Mattio (Pam). Grandfather of Shannon, Chuck ( Leslie), Chris (Amber), Justin and Brandon Mattio. Great Grandfather of Taylor, Kayla, Caroline, and Caleb Engeron. Mr. Mattio proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the New Orleans Public Grain Elevator and The Morial Convention Center. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 3325 Loyola Dr., Kenner, LA, on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m with visitation at Church after 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will be private. Doanation in lieu of flowers to Canon Hospice, Elmwood, Jefferson, La. Arrangements by Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home.

Phil : Just wanted to offer my prayers to you and your family for your loss. Your dad wad a wonderful friend, husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. He was my friend and a great person who'd help anyone in need. He will be missed. God bless you all,
