To the Ms. Eliska Spera's family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Ms. Eliska was such a beautiful person. I worked with her when she was the switch board operator at Gretna City Hall and she took me under her wing. She always gave me helpful advise. I was only 19 years old. I truly enjoyed working with her and she was always smiling. I kept in touch for a few years after I left and I always think about her.

I meet Liska when I went to work at Gretna City Hall many years ago. She was the switchboard operator and I worked in the Mayor's office with Jane Roddy. Myself, Liska and Jane had many fun conversations. My husband and I saw Liska and her dear friends Lavergne and Inez in the parking lot as they were leaving Wendy's after having lunch. She was a wonderful person and I will miss her dearly as many will.My prayers and condolences go out to her family. We all love you and will miss you dearly Aunt Liska..the times we spent visiting when we were kids were always fun and you always had candy in the dish. And no one went after Mardi Gras beads like you did!

Hope my Grandpa Bubby was waiting for you with open arms...give him a hug for me.

It was many years ago, but I still fondly remember the times we shared at Aunt Liska's house. She always had the most beautiful smile. My deepest condolences go out to all of the family.

Aunt Liska was by far the greatest aunt I have ever had the pleasure of being around. I still remember Poppa sitting in his chair yelling at her to come and pick up his cane because he had dropped it. The times dad and spent at her house after he'd come home from work was the best. Even before I was old enoguh to drive she would let me take her beetle (the one Aunt Lois won as a Grand Opening prize when Westside shopping center first opened)in the yard for a little fun. Or the time when I was really young and playing with Johnny in the woods and camping out in the yard. One time Johnny had a tent setup and shot the bb gun through the tent and hit me in the leg as I was inside the tent fixing the sleeping bags. I went straight to Aunt Liska and told her what happened and she scolded Johnny really bad while I stood outside and laughed. Also remembered how protective she was of that snotty little dog Snoopy. Snoopy was Johnny's dog but because he never paid too much attetion to it, Snoopy was Aunt Liska's dog for sure. I just remember she always gave me what ever I wanted ever time I visited her. We will miss you Aunt Liska, Love Robert Jr.
