Elizabeth Ann Becker

1938 - 2024

Elizabeth Ann Becker passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 12, 2024. Ann was the beloved wife of Bob Becker for 63 years. She is survived by her children, Joseph Becker (Kerri), Julie Way (Bill), Teri Hebert, Jennifer Mezzanares (Brian) and Steven Becker. She dearly loved her grandchildren Payton Huskins (Whitney), Jordan Spann (Patrick), Ryan Becker (Megann), Rob Becker, Sarah Hebert, Owen Hebert, and Kyle Hebert and her great grandchild Benjamin Huskins. She is also survived by her sisters, Jeannie Siebel and Rita Henry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Margaret (Costello) Henry, her brother Patrick Henry and her sister Mary Costello. Ann graduated from Omaha Holy Name High School, Duchesne College (B.A.) and Univ of New Orleans (M. Ed.). She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence Church where she served as a coordinator for the Adoration Chapel, a Lector and a Eucharistic Minister. She was a recipient of the Order of St. Louis. Ann enjoyed playing bridge, her friends in her Come Lord Jesus Prayer group, her Red Hat friends, and her Bunco friends. We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to her closest friends Kathy Theard, Linda Bucher, Kathy Ramirez and Kathleen Messina who showed compassion and comfort to her in her final days and months. We would also like to thank Shantell and Yolanda from God's Angels Sitting Services for their dedication and devotion to caring for her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church, 8617 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Private burial will follow at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. She asks for memorial donations to be made to the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel or the Building and Maintenance Fund at Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church. Arrangements by L. A.
