Elizabeth Brouphy Obituary

Elizabeth Edler Brouphy entered into eternal life on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at home. She is preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth Weber and Alfred J. Edler, her brother Alfred J. Edler II, and her beloved husband George M. Brouphy. She is survived by her daughter Joy Comboy Geerken, son Michael R. Brouphy, grandchildren Erin and Tara Brouphy, Kevin, Gail, Mickey, Gerald, Shawn and Brian Comboy, Loran Comboy Graham, granddaughters-in-law Debi, Sonia, Belinda, Maria, Lori and Fran Comboy, grandson-in-law Jeff Graham and 21 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brouphy was born in Brookhaven Mississippi and resided in the New Orleans area for the majority of her life. She was a generous contributor to numerous Catholic Churches and Catholic Organizations. She graduated from Spencer Business College and was an avid bibliophile. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, River Ridge, LA. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Guardian Hospice and to her many neighbors who have assisted her through the years.
