Elizabeth Durr Obituary

Elizabeth (Betty) Anne Durr passed away on March 27, 2023 at the age of 87. Betty was born on January 30, 1936 to Arden E. Anderson and Nellie Galliot Anderson in New Orleans, LA and resided in New Orleans until moving to Metairie, LA and then, ultimately, to Covington, LA in 1980. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband Joe, her spouse of 66 years, and her parents Arden E. Anderson and Nellie Theresa Galliot, and her brother Arden Anderson. She was a loving mother to Leslie Durr Larberg (Gregory), Julie Durr Roberts (Jack), Mark Joseph Durr (Cindy), Tammy Durr Robichaux (Andre), Eric Michael Durr, and Jody and Jeffrey Durr. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Ted Roberts; Nicholas, Arden, Christian and Dillon Larberg; Joey Durr; Brandon, Devon, and Peyton Radecker; Ian Durr; and many loving great-grandchildren. Betty was a graduate of Fortier High School in New Orleans and was a long-time employee of Hughes Tool Company. She also served as an officer in the Krewe of Minerva and the Krewe of Isis. The joy in Betty's life was her husband and family. A private family gathering will be held in her honor at a later date. Donations may be made in her name to the Franciscan Mission Associates. "He who is loved and lost is not with us but is everywhere we are."
