Elizabeth Macomber-Kupsh Obituary

MACOMBER-KUPSH, Elizabeth - Passed away peacefully at her home in Coquille, Oregon on January 13, 2008. She is survived by her cherished children Lara and Tom, and their spouses, several precious grandchildren, her devoted Uncle Ed, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Born and raised in Santa Rosa, she was preceded in death by her parents Josephine and George Macomber, sister Eleanor Healey, and brother Brian Macomber. After graduating from Ursuline High School and attending Santa Rosa Jr. College, she became a homemaker and devoted caregiver with Hospice and Alzheimer's care centers in Oregon, Arizona, and California. She enjoyed creative writing, gardening and keeping in touch with the cherished friendships she had developed over the years. Of special joy to her was her devoted golden cocker-spaniel "Cozy" with whom she shared many adventures. As the time grew near, she faced her illness with courage, grace and her wonderful Irish sense of humor. Greatly appreciated is the devoted care given her by her Oregon Hospice caregivers, especially Rosy, Kinnie, Joy and Carol. Very special thanks to Fr. Heiko Junge of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Fr. Denis O'Sullivan who con-celebrated her funeral Mass in Bandon, Oregon. Santa Rosa family and friends are invited to a Memorial mass and celebration of her life on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 12:30 pm. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 398 10th St., Santa Rosa.
