Alice,
Words cannot even begin to express the sorrow I felt upon hearing of the death of your sister. The death of a love one can be a heavy load to bear. There are so many conflicting emotions: horror, pain, lost, love and joy. I encourage you to remember and embrace the Joy and Laughter that she contributed to your life! Hold on tight to memories for comfort and draw strength from knowing how much you are loved and cared for. Don't forget to lean on friends and family for support and know that you are not alone. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Peace, Prayers and Blessings.

Ellen was my classmate and friend in high school. We had kept up over the years and it was so good to see her at our 50th class reunion in October. We spoke at some length about you, her children, and about her illness.
I grieve with you and will pray for the repose of her soul and will also pray for all of you.

Ellen was such a great classmate at Chalmette High -- beautiful, smart, and so full of life. I always thought so highly of her. I'm so saddened to learn of her death. She seemed so vibrant at the 50-year reunion that I can hardly absorb hearing of this.

I met Ellen through her sister, Alice. What I will aways remember about her is following hurricane Katrina, she offered Bob and me to live with her.....no time limit or boundaries. She just was ready to open her home to her sister's friend. We never did take her up on the invitation, but that act of kindness told me a lot about her character and loving nature. We crossed paths a few times in life. Now, I wish there had been more. I will never forget you, Ellen, as I have never forgotten that call to help us in our time of need. JoAnn Arceneaux
