Just a note from a former student who found inspiration in Mrs. Marks' leadership qualities as assistant principal (especially after a good scolding) and she will be fondly remembered by the John McDonogh class of 1961

My condolences to Mrs. Marks family. I was very saddened when I saw her obit in today's paper. I am a grad of John McDonogh Sr. High, class of 1958 and helped Mrs. Marks in her office during my study periods. She was very influential to me and gave me great guidance. I missed her very much after I graduated. I know she is resting peacefully as she was a great person.
