Emilly Dillon Obituary

DILLON Emilly Jennings Dillon, a retired employee of Jefferson Parish School Board entered into eternal rest on Fri. June 6, 2008 at St. Theresa Specialty Select Hospital at the age 72. Mrs. Dillon was born in Independence, La. on Sept. 7, 1935. A resident of Metairie, La. She was a member of The True Democratic Civic Organization in Bunche Village. She was a faithful member of the Second New Guide B.C. and a devoted mother to her children, siblings, neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Wallace Dillon, her parents, Frank and Alma Varnado Jennings. Survivors include four daughters, Brenda Joyce Albert ( Valery Sr.) of Avondale, Jill Robinson (Kenneth Sr.) of Derry, New Hampshire, Myrtis Dillon-Fisher of Metairie, La, Myrtle Dillon-Rogers (Glenn Sr.) of Houston, Tx. two sons Earl Wallace Dillon (Janell) and Bruce Leonard Dillon Sr. (Annette) of LaPlace, La. two sisters Melvina Banks (Leroy Sr.) and Mildred Tuggle (Hollis) of Baton Rouge, La on brother Emille Jackson of Amite, La. also survived by (13) grandchildren, (2) great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor officers and members of the Second New Guide B.C., Employees of Jefferson Parish School System, Team Care Medical Center, Lawrence Public School System of New Hampshire, The Office of Community Services, Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District of Houston, Texas, River Parishes Hospital, Allstate Insurance Co., East Jefferson Hospital, and St.Theresa Specialty Select Hospital, are invited to attend the funeral services on Sat. June 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from the Second New Guide B.C., 1424 Dilton St. Metaire, La. Rev. Calvin Jackson officiating, Interment Durbin Cemetery, Independence, La. Visitation at the church on Fri. June 13, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. The family would like to give special thanks to the medical staff at EJGH-CCU and St.Theresa Specialty Select.
