To the Watson Family,

In your time of mourning, know that the Lord is thy keeper. Be comforted in knowing that you all will be reunited one day in The Kingdom of Heaven.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Psalms 121

To the Watson Family,

I had the honor of knowing "Doc" Watson for almost thirty years. He was a wonderful person and put the word "gentle" in gentleman. A calm and peaceful man...I never heard him speak an ill word about anyone.

My sincerest prayers and thoughts are with you. May you have peace in knowing you have an angel watching over you and playing some great music in heaven.

Peace and blessings,

Glynn "Tweet" Patterson

An exceptional, loving man, whom I am very honored to have known. After working with "Watson" at Tulane Medical School for 18 years, it was very hard to read the entry in the newspaper today. My sincerest prayers go out to his family, and I thank God for allowing me to have known this kind, wonderful, gentleman. Peace in knowing he is with his Creator now and that we shall all reunite in Heaven to rejoice with him in God's love.

May God bless you in your time of sorrow.

I have many fond memories of playing music with "DOC".
We travelled the world and worked an abundance of gigs locally. "DOC" was a gentleman and a true example of what a husband and father should be. We will all miss him. Be strong and continue to lean on God unchanging hand.

I thank God for allowing "DOC" to be a part of my life.
