LEWIS Ethel Mae Lewis departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Monday, November 9, 2009. Mother of Malcolm DeGruy, Sr. and Donald Williams (devoted friend Patricia Ricard). Mother in law of Frances J. DeGruy. Grandmother of Malcolm Jr., and Robin DeGruy of Carrollton, Ga., Avril D. Elamin and Qadir Elamin Mesquite, Tx., Miguel and Wendy S. DeGruy of Grand Prairie, Tx., Traneka Cody, and Tammara Dantzler. Daughter of the late Thelma Edwards and Hillary Lewis. Niece of Emelda Davis and Emma Spencer. Devoted cousin of Leotha Andrews and Mercedes Williams. Also survived by a host of great grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 80 years, a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Gretna, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Regular Baptist Church and neighboring churches; Employees of JoEllen Smith Convalescent are invited to attend the funeral service at Regular Baptist Church, 901 5th St., Gretna, La., on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 10:00a.m. Rev.
