Etheridge "Slim" "Mr.K" Killen

Etheridge "Slim" or "Mr. K." Killen, 91, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018. Mr. Killen was preceded in death by his wife: Bobbie Jean Killen; a daughter: Patricia Killen; two sons: Steve Killen, Kenneth Killen; two grandchildren: Bryen Wells, David Keith Killen; parents: Henry Killen and Fannie Bell Gilmore Killen; and three brothers: Luther Killen, Walter Killen, and Joe Killen. "Slim" or "Mr. K.", as he was known by his church family, was a native of Georgetown, Louisiana, a former resident of New Orleans, and a resident of Slidell for over fifty years. He was retired from Port of New Orleans Board of Commisioners, and a member of First Baptist Church of Slidell. Mr. K. is survived by two children: Walter Killen, and Joyce Wheat; four grandchildren: Michael Wells, Natosha Wells, Kimberly Wells, Mark Killen; four great-grandchildren: Britney Wells, Todd Manuel, Matthew Manuel, and J.J. Manuel. "Slim" is also survived by many nieces, and other relatives. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am followed by funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements by Honaker Funeral Home, Inc., Slidell, LA.
