Dear Mary, We at the North Shore Goomba's are very sorry to hear of the loss of our dear friend Geno. In just the short time we have known of his passing he has had a golf shot, a drink and a bet named after him that will carry on year after year in his memory. Please know that he and yourself are in our prayers. J. Bubba Blakeney

Dear Mary
I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Gene's passing. Although I only knew the two of you briefly, it was a pleasure meeting you through Kitty and hearing the stories about NYC life. May God be with you in your sorrow and lay His peace upon you. I hope you have your family to surround you and lift you up.
Love, Leslie and Don

Mary, I will never forget the night we met Gene. He couldn't miss us with your big bouquet of balloons for your birthday. He loved you so much. Some people go through life and never experience the true love Gene had for you. He adored you and I loved that about him. He will be missed. I'm so sorry I won't be able to make the services - if you weren't out of town I would be right there with you just like it all started. Love you - take care of yourself.

Mary and Family,

I am very sorry to hear of Gene's death. I have many fond memories of working for Gene and getting to know him. He was very unique. In the beginning we used to butt heads (because he was a New Yorker and I a Southerner) but after a few head butts we not only understood one another we became a team. I enjoyed working for Gene over the years at the phone company he was a real nice person. Mary I hope you and your family are okay. I remember his retirement party and our last dance together - you were determined that was going to happen and people kept cutting in.(smile) Mary you and your family have my Deepest Sympathy, I will remember you and your family in prayer and I will pray for Gene. May you find strength in knowing that others care and may Gene's soul rest in PEACE - is my prayer. God Bless You!
