Eulalie Caruso "Lee" Schnell

1931 - 2023

Eulalie (Lee) Caruso Schnell, age 92, passed away on August 12, 2023, in Metairie, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Schnell, Jr., her parents, Leonie Flick Caruso and David Caruso, Sr. and her brother, David Caruso, Jr. She is survived by her loving children, Thomas Camardi of Santa Ana, California (Ruth), Terry Camardi DiCarlo (Joe), Frederick Schnell III (Stephanie), and Stephen Schnell (Christy). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Michael Camardi, Jessica Sens, Angela Dinkel, Salvador DiCarlo, Andrew Taylor, Claire St. Germain, Bridget Schnell, Katherine Bricker, Aaron, Spencer, and Sebastian Schnell, and Emily and Lauren Peterson, 7 great-grandchildren, her sister, Beryl Quinton of Walland, Tennessee (Juan), 2 nephews, and a niece. Lee served as the Volunteer Coordinator at East Jefferson General Hospital and was a volunteer tour guide both in the French Quarter and at the New Orleans Museum of Art. She had a tremendous love and devotion to the Catholic Church and was a parishioner of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans on Saturday, August 19, 2023, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in the Chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
