Florence Mae Jones Young Frazier

Florence Mae Jones Young Frazier was born on September 23, 1944, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Leotha and Lawrence Jones Sr. She passed away on December 2, 2017. She grew up in Marrero, Louisiana where she graduated from Lincoln High School class of 1963. On June 3, 1977, Florence was joined in holy matrimony to Henry James Frazier for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her loving father Lawrence Jones, Sr., 2 brothers: Cleveland Jones & Lawrence Jones, Jr., and godparents: Nelson and Flavia Lemieux. 4 brothers-in-law: Walter Meeks, Louis Davis, George Alexander, Emile Hamilton and one special sister-in-law Juanita Davis Alexander. She leaves to cherish her life and memories her husband Henry James Frazier, Sr., 3 sons: Brain Young (Stacy), Henry James Frazier Jr. & Lawrence Frazier all of New Orleans, LA., two grandchildren: Brian Anthony Adams of Hurst, TX and Semaj Johnson of Atlanta, GA her mother Leotha Jones, sister Sharon Jones Hoffmeister of Gretna, LA and 5 brothers: Charles Jones, Ronald Jones, Pernell Jones, Paul Jones of Denver, CO, and William Jones of Florianopolis, Brazil. She also leaves to mourn her memory a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and family. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, December 9, 2017 for 11:00 a.m. at the New Orleans Triumph Baptist Church, 840 Caffin Ave. NOLA 70117. Visitation will begin for 10:00 a.m. Bishop Charles E. Brown, officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, Metairie, LA.
