Frances DiVincent Brousse

1936 - 2021

Frances DiVincent Brousse died peacefully at home on Monday, January 4, 2021. She was born on September 13, 1936 to the late Vincent and Antoinette DiVincent. She was also preceded in death by her husband Col. Valsin "V.L." Brousse, III. She is survived by her sons, Val Brousse, IV and Robert (Linda) Brousse; her three grandchildren, Jessica Brousse, Brandon Brousse and Rachael Cutrell (Kris) and a recent great-granddaughter, Adalynn Grace Cutrell. Frances also leaves behind her three sisters, Joycelyn Exnicios (John), Shirley Posecai (Ray) and Genevieve DiVincent; a host of nieces and nephews, other family members and friends to mourn her absence. She had a joie de vivre in the truest sense and made friends wherever she went. She loved life and was always ready to have fun; whether it was traveling, spending time with family, going to a casino or playing cards with her numerous groups of friends. Frances loved to laugh and always had a joke to make others laugh. She was a great mother, but she really excelled at being a grandmother (NaNa) to each of her grandkids who loved her dearly for her fun personality. Frances was blessed to remain home throughout her slow decline, due to the progression of Alzheimer's, in the care of her son Val. She will be missed by us all, but we pray that she is now in heaven ready to "Ante up – whose turn is it to deal?" A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Due to COVID, social distancing and masks are required.
