Francis Dirmann Obituary

On July 9th 2016, Francis "Lefty" R Dirmann was called home to rest peacefully. He was born August 30th 1916 and was 99 years old. He was a native and resident of New Orleans. He is survived by his brother Raymond Dirmann, sister Nathalie D Satter, son Allyn G Robinson, daughter Burneice Robinson Rodrigue Noto, grandchildren Schereen Russell, Daneel Lucas, Melissa Roussel, John B Robinson, Ashley, Heather & Nikki Rodrigue and numerous great & great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Louis Dirmann Sr, mother Jeanne Ayles Dirmann; brothers Joseph, Louis, & Paul Dirmann, sisters Leonie D Knight & Jeanne D Russo; wife Ruth Robinson Dirmann, son Edward Eppinette and grandson Francis Eloy Robinson. He was loved by all & will be greatly missed. A Memorial service will be held Sunday, July 24th 2016 1pm at Our Lady of Wisdom Nursing Home 5600 Gen. DeGaulle Dr NOLA 70131 w/a gathering in the Tuscany Hall after mass.

Dear family of "Lefty",

I feel blessed to have known Lefty, such a caring man.

We are related to Bea through her late husband, Barry Rodrigue.

Lefty has now joined his late family and friends.

May God bless you all and comfort you in this time of your grief.
