Frank Anthony Messina Sr.

Frank Anthony Messina, Sr., of Kenner, Louisiana, passed away at his home on Friday, March 19, 2021, at the age of 81. He was born on November 5, 1939, in Independence, Louisiana, the son of the late Tony Messina and Anna Muncive Messina. Frank was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired business owner. Frank is survived by his wife, Sandra Peterson Messina; children, Frank Messina, Jr. (Debra), Janene Allen (Derrick), Ann Carman (Shawn) and Errol ""Roy"" Elcock; son-in-law, Adam Keith Allen, Sr.; grandchildren, Adam Keith Allen, Jr., Adrion Allen, Brittany Allen, Brianna Allen, Frank Messina, III, Sammi Messina, Sara Marsilia, Jennifer Marsilia, and Alexandra Carman; great grandchildren, Amiyah Allen, Adalyn Travis, and Adam Keith Allen, III; step daughter, Mary Lynn Champagne (Robert); step grandchildren, Lillian and James Champagne; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sisters, Annie, Virginia, Frances and Laura, and brothers, Mario, Nick and Carlo. Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am, with Pastor Rusty Tardo officiating. Entombment will follow at Colonial Cemetery in Independence, Louisiana.
