Freeman Moore Obituary

Freeman Eldrew Moore, born June 18, 1923, a WWII Veteran, avid fisherman, turkey, and deer hunter, barber, father, grandfather, brother and son of the late Ida Crawford and Joseph Berry Moore; devoted husband of the late Darlene Ruth Chaudoin Moore, departed this life on June 15, 2005, at his residence in Covington, LA, after a brief illness. Survived by his children: Luciel Jackson, Letha Dayle Willie, Glenda O'Keefe and Ernie Moore; grandchildren: Penny Jackson, Jennifer Poissot Taylor, Danielle Jenkins, Dana Seal, Rachel Whitmer, Ernie Freeman, Chad, Todd and Adam Moore and Laci O'Keefe; and great-grandfather of Austin Doran, Claire Jenkins, Megan Moore and Elizabeth Jackson; brother of Glenn and Floyd Moore, who predeceased him; Maxie Moore and his sister, Jewel Cordell; and his best friend Fay Hudgeons. Aged 81 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the Chapel of E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Inc., 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 12:00 PM. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Hickory, LA. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Hospice of St. Tammany, 1202 S. Tyler St., Covington, LA 70433.
