I recently learned of Gail’s passing from one of her co-workers at Texas DPS. I only met Gail’s once as a customer. There are times when someone does not need to know someone well for them to make a memorable impression. Meeting Gail was one of those times. She was warm, friendly, genuine, helpful and memorable.
When we learned that we were both natives of New Orleans, our conversation sparkled with delight as she diligently helped me with my situation. My condolences to the family.

To the Howard family you have our sincere condolences. I was taken aback when Stephen shared the news that Gail had passed. Our families have been neighbors for many years. Even after Katrina forced Gail and Herbert to remain in Texas the boys would keep us inform of how they were doing. Barely three weeks ago Damien shared with me that Gail was planning to retire at the end of the year. May she rest in peace.
