George Cargo Thomas Jr.

George Cargo (a.k.a. Tucker) Thomas Jr. entered into eternal rest very peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the age of 103. George was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA, prior to Hurricane Katrina in 2005, where he resided in Richmond, TX. He was the beloved husband to the late Geraldine (Deanie) Thomas; devoted father to Irma Thomas; late Glenn Carrie and Carol Ann Lee, Shelia (Rev. Jarauz) Jack, Shirley Thomas, Alice Hansberry, George (Duckie) Thomas. He leaves his fond memories to his 5 children, 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; also 2 sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was a member of True Light Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Craig Taylor.
