Georgette Carmel Heine, ""Aunt Jet'' as she is known to so many, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 after a lengthy illness at the age of 77. She is a retiree of Lykes Brothers Steamship Company after 48 years of service. She is survived by her sister, Shirley H. Elmore; brothers: George C. Heine, Jr. and William A. Heine. ""Aunt Jet'' is also survived by 3 generations of nieces and nephews. Ms. Heine was preceded in death by her loving parents, George Sr. and Bernadine Heine; and sister, Vera H. Remer of Detroit, MI. To those who knew her, she will always be an example of family devotion, gentleness, joy, warmth and especially unconditional love. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 3827 Canal Street, on Friday, May 20, 2005 at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 AM until service time.
