Gerald E. "Jerry" Huber Jr.

Gerald E. "Jerry" Huber Jr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the age of 53. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Eddie Dore Jr. and his cousin, Matthew Boudreaux. He is the beloved father of Branden Everett Huber (Kailyn) and Kristen Byrd Crouell (Jaquan). He is the devoted grandfather of Greyson Everett Huber and Aria Elizabeth Brock. He is the loving son of Susie Huber and Captain Gerald E. Huber Sr. He is the beloved brother of Rachel Chaisson (Greg) and Cindy McCrossen (John). He is also survived by his fiancé Murlyn McGregor; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Some of his happiest days were spent on the motocross track as a teenager and as a lead singer in local rock bands including The Originals, Escape, and Charge . In more recent years, he used his talent to bring faith alive through his music with Christian bands, Crossover and Sons of Deity. Jerry used his gifts of faith and music as well as his personal life experiences to help so many overcome their own personal struggles through the years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him especially most for his playful and loving heart. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA.
