I miss you so very much!
I hope somehow, some way, I'll get to see you again!
It's been 22 LONG YEARS without you but I'm forever thinking about and missing you!
You'd be so proud of all FIVE of your kids!
And grandchildren and great grandchildren!
Ashton had two gorgeous boys and a gorgeous little girl, and I'd like to think that somehow you know, and maybe even because he told you himself.
Gabby had a Handsome little boy and you would love them all!

It seems like only yesterday that I got the call from Mom that you were gone.
I remember calling you to let you hear that Gabby learned to say Paw Paw Gerald...but you passed away just a few days later before getting to meet her.

Hi Dad,
So much has happened since you've been gone. Lately, alot has happened. My mom has had a little boy named Alex Michael Boyd. I love him so much. I like her new boyfriend alot, but he will never take place of you. Mom has been a little sick lately, she went to the hospital the other night. I was so scared. She should be okay, though. Our house in Church Point caught fire. Mom, Alex, and I were sleeping, but we got out okay. So we moved back to Belle Chasse. I go to Belle Chasse Middle school and I'm still myaking straight A's. I hope you're proud of me. I miss you alot. I just wish you were here, because I could really use a hug and a kiss from you. I love you Daddy!

I talk to you often. I wonder if you're hearing my words. I feel in my heart that you are. Sometimes I feel like I am presumptuous to grieve for you since you are not my father. The sadness is as if you are. The pain in my heart for missing you seems to only get deeper as the years pass. I thought it's supposed to get LESS painful.

I miss my Dad very much & I was able to go to his gravesite yesterday and check on it. I was concerned, because of pictures I had seen from the surrounding area, but his spot is fine. I took pictures of everything out there but there's not much left. I saw a little pink "princess" pillow, on the floor of my little sister's room, and some tiger statues, that are all that I found left, that I'll clean up for her. I know it's been hard on everyone to miss someone you love so much, but I know that if Dad were here to say it himself, he would tell everyone to just remember the love, good times, the "boudreaux" jokes, the smiles,and the music he shared with all of us. I miss you Dad

I, like many others, miss my Dad so much but I just wanted to say, that I remember the first thing He always asked me when I saw him...
"How's your brothers and sisters, your Mom, your kids & whatever wife you have now?"
He was funny but He was always wondering how everyone was.
Well here's an update...The Family is as crazy as they have
always been...and YOU GUESSED IT... I am with another wife!
Anyway, I know my Dad is here in our hearts and our memories, but one thing I know also is that, if he were standing here He would be proud of His kids, his family and
of the fact that we were raised to "love one another" and that we still do.
Life is hard, and everyone has their own opinions of everything, but the one thing that will out live us all is love.
Don't wait to tell the people you love, how much you love them till you have to write in it their guestbook...it's easier to say it now than to type it later.
We have a great, loving Family... cherish it.
Meanwhile, I'll try to stay married again!!!

Hi Dad,
It has been a year since you have been gone and it hasn't been the same! Alot of us are still having trouble believing you aren't just a phone call away anymore . And i know you won't ever see this but it feels good just pretending .
In the course of this year i have learned that you were a strong force in alot of peoples lives . Dena talks about you all the time . She always has a story to tell me . I wish i had had the chance to be there to experience every one ! She has so much love for you. You were so close to Tommy's heart as well . I am sure he has a few stories he could share with me . Maybe by hearing them i will start to feel like i knew you as much as they did . You are missed so much around here . And there are many regrets and alot of things left unsaid but i will always remember the good times i spent with you . They will stay closest to my heart always !!

Just wanted to let you know how Tommy and the kids are. You would be so proud of "Bug". He is doing so well all the way around. He works his butt off everyday, and is the best dad! He misses you so much. We all do. We are in the process of moving right now into a bigger house. Tommy has actually made most of the move by himself. I wish you were here to see the kids, also. They are growing fast. We love you and miss you.

Well Father's Day is around the corner & a friend of mine asked me to pick up a Father's day card for his Dad. My friend, Kevin, is a trustee at the Sheriff's Office who always cleans my car & since he obviously cannot go to the store himself I try to help him out.
Well I get to the store & realize that this will be the last ever Father's Day card I'll be purchasing and that ,of course, hurt badly.
I decided to pick a card out that I would give to my Dad if I could & made the purchase.
I told this to Kevin he said he would tell his Dad the signifigance
of the card to me but I really wish
I could tell my Dad.
I wish I knew that my Dad saw what it said!

to all that knew my uncle gerald, i hope your hearts mend quickly, but you remember him forever. i know i will. he was an outstanding man, and i will miss him a lot and i know a lot of other people will too. his heart was of gold and i know he has a spot in heaven waiting for him. i know when he died he was greeted at the gates by my brother, ronnie madere, his mother, father, my father and his sister who have also past. i was not able to be at the wake or the funeral but i will always remember him. so i lift my glass and toast him one more time. i love and miss you forever tommy

I wish...
I wish I had realized the impact and influence your life left on me Gerald.
Even as a young child you always treated me as an equal.
You always tried to include me in activities with you and Tommy and treated me like I was, not only your Brother-in-law, but as a son.
I know that you considered yourself a failure for a long time...
I love you very much and I wish I had the chance to tell you that you were far from a failure.
Despite any of your shortcomings, you helped make me the man that I am today and, for that, I will forever be grateful.
I will always remember the times that we shared together and they will always be some of my most treasured memories.
