Geraldine B. "Gerry" Meyers

MEYERS Geraldine "Gerry" B. Meyers, was born on October 30, 1928 and passed away September 26, 2012 at her home. She retired from N.O. School Board after 20 years of service. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Victoria S. Bellaire. Wife of the late Albert Taylor, Sr., and Roy Meyers. Mother of Gwendolyn Smith (Leon Thomas), Gerald and Albert Taylor, Jr. Sister of Barbara Haywood, Peter and Freddie Bellaire. Grandmother of Dwayne McCann (Tayna Thrasher), Albert J. Taylor III and the late Keenon McCann, Sr. Great grandmother of Keenon McCann Jr. and Mailia McCann. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family, friends, N.O. School Board and Lighthouse for the Blind are all welcomed to the funeral service on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Charbonnet-Labat-Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip St., NOLA for 11:00 am. Interment is in Holt Cemetery. Visitation begins at 10:00 am in the Chapel of the Roses.
