Geraldine Rigaud Obituary

Geraldine Thomas Rigaud, 75, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in New Orleans. Mrs. Rigaud was born on December 12, 1948 to the late Clarence and Estelle Thomas. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Peter Rigaud, Sr. She attended St. Mary's Academy for both, her primary and high school education, later attending Southern University at New Orleans. Her professional life included roles at Harrah's New Orleans, Shell Oil Company and UNO Lakefront Arena. Jeri was a member of Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the KPC Ladies Auxiliary #60 and Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Survivors include a son, Ronald P. Rigaud Jr (Molly); daughter, Michelle R. Thompson; five sisters; brother/sister-in-law, Edwin Rigaud, Jr. (Carole), Myra Frost; five grandchildren, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Mass honoring the life and legacy of the late Geraldine T. Rigaud will be held at Corpus Christi/Epiphany Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 10 am. when i first landed back to New Orleans, Gerry was one of the first people i saw wearing the SMA jacket. We didnt recognize each other but of course our love for SMA caused us to strike up a conversation.

It was great talking and catchng up with activities i had missed.
