Gertie P. He'bert departed this life at Meadowcrest Hospital on Monday April 21, 2003 at 5:10 A.M. Beloved mother of Edward He'bert II and Karen D. He'bert. Grandmother of Destiny Paige Wilson He'bert and Mya Simone Dixon. Daughter of the late Arthur and Lillian Parker Peterson. Sister of Linda P. Williams, Janice P. Franklin, Adrell Eriom, Lucille P. Moore, and the late Emelda Barrow, Lois P. Williams, Bernadette Peterson, Riley Peterson and Arthur Peterson. Niece of Lula Peterson, Leona Henderson and the late Vivian Porter and Racheal Roy. Sister-in-law of Evelyn Peterson, Rosemary Jackson, Roland Franklin and Nevils Moore. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren, other relatives and friends. Age 66 years, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Algiers, LA. Relatives and friends also Pastors, Officers and Members of Gideon Christian Fellowship, New Home Ministries, Life Center Full Gospel B.C., Beacon Light, Israelite B.C., Fifth African B.C. and all neighboring churches. Employees of Orleans Parish School Board, L.B. Landry Emanons, Edward Hebert Attorney at Law LLC and Associates, and Children's Hospital are invited to attend the Funeral Services from Gideon Christian Fellowship, 3401 Elysian Fields Ave. New Orleans, LA on Friday, April 25, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. Apostle Willie F. Wooten Officiating (NO WAKE) Visitation from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Westlawn Cemetery - Gretna, LA. Arrangements By DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
