Gregory Stevenson Obituary

STEVENSON Gregory Stevenson departed his earthly home on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 54 years old. Former resident of New Orleans, LA and relocated to Baton Rouge due to Hurricane Katrina. Gregory was born to George Stevenson and Marion Alexis Stevenson on February 16, 1955. Graduate of Baton Rouge High, now Baton Rouge Magnet. Former member of the U.S. Army and the National Guard at Jackson Barracks. Articulate and confident Landscaper and Tree Maintenance. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Florietta Mack Stevenson and loving children; Gerald George (U.S. Navy - San Diego, CA) Carlette Renee and Gerard Jonathan Stevenson; also the family's pet: "Tito". Aunt: Mary Ellen Stevenson and Uncles: Alonzo Stevenson Jr. and Melvin Bourgeois Sr. Siblings: Evelyn Andrews (Foster), Eric Stevenson (Cherisse), Mary Dalton, Beverly A. Smith, Ronald and James (Joyce) Stevenson. Sisters-in-law; Carolyn M. White (Edward) and Cynthia N. Parker; brothers-in-law: Elmore R. Johnson (Ivory) and Reginald J. Mack (Linda). Services Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Harvest Time Fellowship C.O.G.I.C., 4817 Plank Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806. Visitation from 8:30 a.m. to service time. Superintendent James Quillen; officiant. Entombment: Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North St., Baton Rouge, LA 70806. Repast: North Street Center, 4100 North St. (across from cemetery). Services entrusted to Heritage Funeral Directors.

Florietta, one day we'll all be done with the troubles of this world; until then God gave us each other to lean on thinking of you during the time and praying you'll find confort knowing that the one you love is home now, free at peace in the presence of God.

It was so wonderful seeing you recently and knowing that all was well with you and your family only to hear of your loss only a few weeks later.
