Harold Brown Obituary

Harold Burl "Gate" Brown, age 82, entered Eternal Rest on Sunday, November 7, 2021. He was born on December 29, 1938, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Brown Sr. and Ruby Dixon Brown, his daughter, Trina Robinson, his brother, James Brown Jr., his aunt, Florine Kelly, his cousin, James Kelly, his brother-in-law, Burnell Wallace, and his nephew, Dale Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memories his two brothers, Pershing Brown Sr., Dale (Rhoda) Brown, four sisters, Betty Wallace, Janet Brown, Rosemary (Raymond) Dobard, and Cheryl Brown, two granddaughters, Tomeka Miller, and Lenita Robinson, two great-grandchildren, Kennedy, and Knight Osum, nephew/caretaker, Oliver Brown Jr., and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A special Thank You to the staff of Veterans Affairs CLC Facility, and his caretaker Ms. Lynette Carter. Relatives, friends of the family, members of Pentecost Baptist Church, and the Lower Ninth Ward Senior Center are all invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Friday, November 19, 2021, 10 a.m. at Pentecost Baptist Church, 1510 Harrison Ave, NOLA 70122. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. till the hour of service. Interment private. Services entrusted to the caring staff of Professional Funeral Services "Celebrating Life", 1449 N.
