Harold "Buddy" Martin Jr.

1935 - 2021

Harold 'Buddy' Martin, Jr., died Monday, April 12, 2021 @ his home in Metairie, LA from complications of the coronavirus surrounded by his wife Teresa of 64 years and their loving daughter Lisa. Harold was born in El Paso, Texas on December 13, 1935 to Harold and Tessa Martin, Sr. He was raised in New Orleans and resided in Metairie for over 45 years. He owned and operated Avila Ornamental Iron Works for over 30 years doing welding at his company. He loved fishing in the bayous of Louisiana. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Martin of Chicago, IL, also a sister Sandra Martin, also of Chicago, IL. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Kenner, LA. The family would like to thank the Hospice Association of Greater New Orleans for their kindness and support to 'Buddy' and their family during his illness. Due to the present pandemic, a private family gathering and memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made in his honor to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Kenner, LA.
