Harry A. Klundt Jr.

KLUNDT Harry A. Klundt, Jr. died on July 28, 2013 at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his parents, Octavia Napier Klundt and Harry A. Klundt, his sister, Marion Klundt Williams and her husband, Thomas J. Williams, his wife Dorothy Healy Klundt, and his nephew, Thomas J. Williams, Jr. He is survived by cousins, Ethel R. Sentilles and Shirley Krutilla and nephew, Brian M. Williams. Harry was a WWII Navy veteran and a member of the Howard Ross American Legion Post. He was an employee of BellSouth/AT&T until his retirement. He was affiliated for years with Deustche Haus, spending many happy hours there. Harry was an accomplished jeweler and operated a jewelry business with his wife. He also was a member of the Gem and Mineral Society. Harry was a long-time member of First Evangelical and Reformed Church (later the United Church of Christ) where he sang in the choir, as he did more recently at Carrollton Presbyterian Church. Special thanks are due to Harry's neighbor and friend Dale, who spent endless hours caring for him after his return home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM.
