Helen Duffield Obituary

DUFFIELD — Mrs. Helen J. Duffield, aged 81, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther "Duffy" Duffield, her daughter, Deborah, her parents and her brother, Norman Hager. Surviving are her five children, Jeanette (Don) Cook, Vona (Jerry) Lindsey, Jeffrey (Susan) Duffield, Brenda Burns and Martin (Janet) Duffield; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, Ronald (Lucille) Hager. Helen's memberships included Order of the Eastern Star, Rockford Sportsman's Club and the Women's Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Chapel. Burial in Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. The family is being served by METCALF & JONKHOFF FUNERAL SERVICE 4291 Cascade Rd. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time. I worked with Helen at Railside, she will be greatly missed. She was a very sweet woman and a pleasure to get to know.
